- As per recommendation of Webel/IT Dept. 48 entrepreneurs were allotted land at Knowledge Corridor, Rajarhat, covering around 30 acres of land.
- M/s. DLF Info City Developers Kolkata Ltd. in collaboration with Webel is developing around 1.3 million sq.ft. infrastructure building for IT/ITES Companies on a 10 acres plot of land at Rajarhat New Town. The building is partially in operation and the balance will be ready by end of 2006.
- Webel/IT Dept. is in the process of acquiring around 330 acres of land in Jagadishpur Mouza, adjacent to Rajarhat New Town for development of an independent IT Hub.
To meet the requirement of STPI, Webel/IT Dept. arranged land of 3 acres for each Earth Stations and constructed buildings at the following locations :
- Sector – V, Salt Lake, Kolkata
- Kharagpur
- Durgapur
- Siliguri
Besides above, Earth Station Building at Haldia is also under construction by Haldia Development Authority, which is expected to be commissioned very shortly. |
